Alle koren en kwartetten van DABS hebben zich inmiddels aangesloten bij Holland Harmony: DABS is nu volledig op gegaan in Holland Harmony, Dutch association of Barbershop Singers. Er is nu dus één organisatie voor alle barbershopzangers in Nederland!

Coaching door Rod Sgrignoli

BingOp 20 september, voor de Harmony College van BiNG, is Rod Sgrignoli in Dortmund om kwartetten en koren te coachen. Veel Duitse kwartetten mogen kort voor de Coesfeld Cup Contest echter niet gecoacht worden. Daarom is er ruimte in de agenda voor Nederlandse koren en kwartetten. BiNG heeft een ruimte in Dortmund ter beschikking, maar bij voldoende belangstelling kan hij ook naar Nederland komen. De kosten bedragen €120 voor een coaching van ca 2 uur plus €50 resikosten.

Rod headshotRod has been a barbershopper for 21 years. A gifted pianist, singer, writer, arranger, composer and teacher, he has found many opportunities to give of his time and talents.
Rod has sung tenor with Rapport, Signature Edition, Boomtown and Renaissance and lead with Fastlane.

On the chorus front, he directed the Boulder Timberliners for 9 years taking them to a first place medal in the district small chorus contest. He has served as an associate director with the Sound of the Rockies Chorus and has three international 4th place medals and 1 international 3rd place medal with them.

Rod has been very active in the Society’s judging program having judged contests all over the United States and Canada as well as the Netherlands and New Zealand. He has also served in many administrative and educational roles at both the international level as well as at the district level.
Rod has served as a guest director, taught classes in arranging, music theory, physics of sound and the contest judging program, as well as leadership orientation classes at both the district and Society level.

Rod is currently serving as Rocky Mountain District VP for Events. For a living, Rod serves as the Manager of Electric Distribution Standards for Xcel Energy in the 8 western states in which they serve.
